Design Concept: When planning the design concept for Sophie & Tom’s wedding, the drought conditions that left many parts of Cape Town’s green spaces dry were a serious talking point. We knew that without adequate watering, the outdoor-grassed space where the alfresco reception would be held would be extremely dry and most likely brown. Taking that into consideration, our design team along with Sophie’s wonderfully easy going nature, fashioned a dreamy and elegant “Desert Bohemian” look and feel for the reception. Plenty of texture in all shapes and sizes from fruit, grasses and dried elements were brought in, and the look focused on using as many Arabic-design influences as possible. The result – an absolutely exquisite Desert Bohemian celebration with bursts of brilliant colour!

Our Expert Advice: Be open to changes in the environment of where your wedding is taking place and work with a design concept that compliments your venue! By having these unique environmental challenges our team and creative partners were able to think out of the box and design a celebration with so many beautiful and interesting details and textures! Rather than focusing on just the table décor, the concept carried through every touch point – from the stunning bar installation to a cosy Tipi lounge set-up for late night partying!
