“This distinctive summer wedding inspired by the manicured gardens of Embassy Hill was filled with an abundance of fresh florals and luxury botanical details.”
Samantha and Simon were married on one of those extraordinary Cape Town days you wish would never end. The weather was beautifully sunny, slipping into a balmy summer’s evening and a starry night. It was as if it had been custom made for the couple, who dreamed of a summer garden wedding, and took their inspiration from the manicured gardens at their venue, The Forum | Embassy Hill.
As a local couple, the bride and groom wanted a venue that was not too far outside of Cape Town. In addition, they wanted it to feel like a ‘home away from home’ where they could welcome the many friends and family who travelled from all over the world to be part of their big day. This exclusive property is part of our handpicked portfolio of top luxury South African venues, The Collective. Set high on the slopes above the beautiful Constantia wine valley, with views onto to vineyards and the distant ocean, its location and setting coupled with excellent cuisine and service standards made it the perfect location for Samantha and Simon’s wedding.
The ceremony design was kept clean and chic, allowing the magnificent surroundings to shine and the abundance of colour at the reception to come as a delightful surprise. A beautiful gold frame arch adorned with roses framed the couple whilst exchanging their vows, before they led their guests down to the beautifully styled lounging area around the magnificent swimming pool where they enjoyed a sumptuous harvest table, G&T bar and live music!
The pair absolutely loved the gorgeous array of flowers on display throughout the estate, and wanted their décor to reflect this ‘fresh from the garden’ feel. From the al fresco ceremony to the reception that looked like a magical greenhouse, we infused their wedding with luxurious floral touches. The botanical inspiration continued right down to finest detail. The reception itself was a magical explosion of colour with flowers climbed up the walls as if winding along garden trellises, whilst the elongated dining tables boasted lush arrangements in a rainbow of hues.
As an extra fun touch, the couple had a bright tropical themed donut wall as part of their delectable dessert station, with donuts on offer in the shapes of pineapples, watermelons and flamingos! It was the perfect way to end off a magical summer wedding.
Here’s what the bride had to say about working with us:
“Thank you so much for all the hard work – I literally could not have dreamed of a better day. You made the whole process incredibly easy! We really appreciate it – it was like a fairytale! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
