Having your wedding at home, if possible, makes it that much more special and memorable!
The Story:
Varsity sweethearts Roxy and Craig knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding. A magical celebration at home with close friends and family. The beautiful Floquet home in Klein Constantia set the scene for this unique celebration. Roxy and Craig had total faith in their coordinator, Kim Werner, whose brief was to bring to life a clear span marquee with romantic décor as well as incorporating fresh touches of spring. The marquee was strategically assembled over the swimming pool and the lush gardens were lit up around the marquee so that the romantic mood could spill out into the lounge pockets positioned in the gardens.
Traditional family values were brought to the forefront at the ceremony which was held at the Stone Church in Constantia. Guests then moved onto the family home for pre-drinks where the Solid Brass Quintet entertained them. Roxy and her sister are popcorn fanatics so there wasn’t a second thought to having a popcorn machine for pre-drinks! The menu, created by Annalize Buchanan, for the lavish reception had various personal elements to it. The main course was the hit of the night followed by the 3-tiered green and white wedding cake and coconut and pistachio macaroons for dessert. The unique white and caramel checked dance floor set the stage for a night of dancing like no other! Blaze Function Band got peoples toes tapping during dinner and moved them quickly to the dance floor to get the party started. DJ Darren Rose then took over and kept the bridal couple and their guests boogying till 4am the next morning.
