The wedding was a very personal occasion for this stylish local couple. Planned in just two months, it was an intimate celebration, with just thirty of their closest friends and family in attendance. This included Gen’s adorable son – the guest of honour (and possibly coolest page boy ever!). The day started with an early wedding ceremony, followed by a delectable three-course luncheon, and a high tea styled dessert. The design was glam and luxurious, and incorporated a number of fun, playful touches that really made this wedding stand out.

The ceremony was held outdoors, with the bright spring sunshine casting a beautiful light. In keeping with the colour scheme, we had a pink aisle custom made, as well as a custom pink arched wall backdrop that reflected the Mount Nelson architecture and incorporated a solid rose flower wall. Having said their vows, the bride, in a stunning long sleeve gown with dramatic cut-out neckline detail, and groom were showered in pink, red, and white rose petals by the jubilant guests.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed candy floss champagne cocktails and delectable canapés, while taking in the hotel’s exquisite gardens and Table Mountain view. They then made their way to the private Green Park venue, where we had styled a beautiful terrace with plush modern furnishings. This included velvet couches, and a custom pink velvet curved bar, created especially for the event. Drinks were accompanied by the unforgettable sound of Caitlin de Ville on the electric violin.

The celebration then moved indoors for the luncheon reception. Guests were seated at a unique curved dining table on distinctive oval backed gold and cream chairs. A lush low floral centrepiece ran the length of the table, in every stunning shade of pink and red, from burgundy to fuschia to blush. At each setting, we had styled underplates, matching gold rim glassware, sparkling gold cutlery, and heavy gold foiled menus with luxe pink tassels. For the seating plan, each guest’s name was engraved on a gold Perspex tag, which was then tied around a box of macarons with rosy satin ribbon. We worked with a wide team of suppliers to source all the right elements for this glamorous Cape Town wedding, and everything was beautifully styled within the colour scheme.

Following the luncheon, guests were treated to a high tea dessert spread, inspired by the Mount Nelson’s famous afternoon tea and each guest was given a bespoke 1701 hat box filled with decadent nougat to be taken home and enjoyed. Gen arranged for Johan’s favourite chocolates from My Sugar to be included, as an extra personal touch. Guests mingled on the terrace, enjoying the warm weather and the sweet treats, until the shadows lengthened and the sun set. The perfect end to a truly perfect day.

With a magnificent wine estate as the backdrop, the dreamy colour palette for the day was shades of blush, gold, ivory and creamy white. Soft touches of blue were incorporated elegantly throughout the floral décor and gifts.

Personalization is a key design element for our team and this celebration was no exception! A logo of the couples initials was custom-made and carried through in gold foiling throughout their follow-on stationery – adding a luxurious designer detail. Not stopping the level of the detail there, laser-cut gold signage was made for the bar along with little “advice” coasters for guests to read; an oversized mirrored seating plan framed the entrance to the reception, gold-foiled menus added an elegant touch to each place setting and finally the dance floor was adorned with a large vinyl of the couple’s monogram in gold.

To add an element of surprise – the reception venue was completely draped off so that only once the candles were lit and the ambient lighting took full effect, it was revealed to the guests and the couple. It was a breathless summer evening and the glittering crystal chandeliers along with the abundance of candlelight created an inviting and dreamy ambience. The floral décor carried the colour scheme beautifully and soft touches of greenery added a romantic summer-garden feeling to the tables. Custom-made panels covered in a patterned fabric created the contemporary backdrop to the bridal table and corner arrangements of seemingly draped florals softened the look.

After a delicious and South African inspired menu, the couple opened the dance floor with their first dance and guests excitedly joined them to celebrate! As a final token of their gratitude towards their family and friends, the couple ensured they be would party the night away in comfort! The ladies received imported pashminas and comfy flip-flops, whilst the gents received stylish hip flasks. “Thank You” tags created the final piece of another beautifully personalised element from this magnificent family celebration.

A key element from the word ‘go’ was ensuring that every aspect of the wedding portrayed the opulence and personalisation that the bride had envisioned. A unique and inspiring colour palate of soft lilac tones, mixed with shades of pink combined with subtle hints of silver & white was used as the foundation for the décor & design brief.

The ceremony setting was a prominent focus for our team, as the bride wanted this to be designed in such a way that it was a true showstopper for guests to be ‘wowed’ by upon arrival! The focus element for the ceremony was the dramatic 3 meter high gazebo structure adorned with white draping and elegant floral touches – a stunning chandelier was suspended in the centre of the gazebo to tie this look together beautifully!

Personalised stationery details were brought in throughout the day to add that extra touch of luxury. The couple’s customised monogram was expertly applied as an additional feature on key structural elements: a violet coloured vinyl application on the bar and then repeated in gold on the dance floor.

The hotel’s ballroom was beautifully complemented with long guest tables, covered with a combination of crystal vases, floral posies and ornate gold candle holders. This look was perfectly tied together by the addition of massive opulent floral arrangements that were strategically placed down the centre of the tables. Each of the ballroom’s existing chandeliers had additional floral décor suspended from them ensuring the glamour quota was fully achieved! The final showstopper for the evening was the 5 tier wedding cake, which was truly a masterpiece.

For the décor, we drew inspiration from the surroundings – a spring inspired floral extravaganza! The bride’s love of the colour pink was tastefully brought in through shades of soft pastel and blush pinks, complimented with touches of rose copper and white.

The beautiful stationery elements were all exclusively designed & hand-made in the wedding theme & colours. Personalised menus, elegant Perspex table numbers, a monogramed cake topper & thoughtful wedding favours were a few of the designer stationery features.

Flower arrangements comprised a mixture of garden roses, hydrangeas, tulips, dahlias and other petite blooms. The look was bold and fresh – yet complimentary to the surroundings beyond the clear span Marquee that was erected on the Estate’s perfectly manicured lawns.

A stunning display of suspended colourful floral masses combined with crystal chandeliers adorned the marquee, which resulted in an elegant & romantic garden-like atmosphere!

Guests were treated to an evening of heart-warming speeches, a gastronomic feast & incredible tunes played by one of South Africa’s best DJ’s. This designer celebration was a true reflection of a bubbling and fun-loving couple! Another uniquely handcrafted Marquee wedding of distinction and we are so proud to have been a part of Barbara & Albert’s beautiful wedding celebration.

This highflying and high-spirited couple entrusted our design team to bring together all the special and sentimental details that they had envisioned for their nuptials in South Africa. Just like their personalities, they expressed that they wanted a very relaxed day that would allow guests to socialize in style! Out went the traditional seated reception and in moved striking lounges and cocktail concepts! A collection of contemporary white draped gazebos housed vintage chaise lounges with chandeliers for added glamour, and tall cocktail-conversation tables with matching chairs added another elegant layer of exclusive furniture to ensure that guests could move around freely and socialize. Each lounge was styled with chic scatter cushions and luxurious throws that highlighted the romantic colour scheme of white and soft pinks.

The floral décor emulated this colour palette but also paid homage to the couple’s international backgrounds. Gumnuts were sprayed gold to signify Amy’s Australian heritage whilst for Neil, roses represented England on the day. Indigenous to South Africa, the stunning King Protea was also added to the floral arrangements throughout the cocktail area.

Being foodies at heart, dinner became a sumptuous floating bowl-menu consisting of 6 different options for starters and an impressive 7 dishes for main course. Dessert was a decadent station that consisted of miniature versions of both beloved local options such as koeksisters and chocolate brownies but also the couple’s personal favourites such as lemon meringue tartlets and mini red velvet cupcakes! The wedding cake was an impressive 3 tier double cake! Each tier was double volume in height and added delicious flavours to the dessert station.

Amy was the perfect type of bride as together, every single fun and sentimental detail for family and friends was well thought out and planned with our help. Details such as each guest receiving a handmade candle that she had made as well as a bottle of Rupert & Rothschild wine to take home. As a surprise for Neil, we were able to arrange a pool table to be delivered to him to enjoy with his groomsmen whilst getting ready on the day. And lastly, we had a bouquet made especially for Amy’s mom, as she never got to throw her bouquet on her wedding day.

All in all, Amy and Neil’s celebration was the result of a wonderful day of fate that brought them together in the picturesque valley of Franschhoek, with friends and family from all over the world. A celebration of fate that we won’t soon forget!

Dressed in a luxury couture gown by London designer Carolina Castigliano the bride walked down the aisle preceded by her eight bridesmaids in stunning coral dresses by Nigeria’s new bridal fashion label “Something Peridot”. Of course the groom and his retinue matched in style with hand-tailored Italian suits.

“Sophistication and making a statement with modern opulent florals”– were the brides’ design vision for her exclusive celebration. The highlight however was to be the elegant lounge concept – designed by our Wedding Concepts team – to have all guests relax and later put their dancing feet up in style.

With a real-life Polo match as a backdrop during the cocktail hour, the guests indulged in a day of equestrian highlights and French Champagne – all whilst celebrating in stylish lounge cabanas overlooking the polo field.

The reception highlights were many: from the exquisite wedding cake, the laser-cut stationery details and the personalised gift tokens to the 12 meter bridal table, luxurious damask cloths and opulent floral centrepieces to a carefully styled dessert display – no detail was overlooked.

Contemporary design touches added to the glamour of this wedding day: ghost chairs, modern floral installations and chic trendy furniture.

With über-cool Nigerian DJ Obi, the fashionable guests partied the night away to swanky tunes in their very own “nightclub-lounge”. Lagos & London – are bound to talk about this luxurious destination wedding for a while to come. And our team were thrilled to have been part of it!

Bold, fun, colourful & vibrant – Kate and Julian’s wedding was a true celebration for the senses – an eclectic glamorous wedding fiesta, filled with warmth and joy and bold décor touches.

Being part of the Senior Wedding Concepts team and passionate about all things beautiful & dramatic – Kate conceptualised a unique décor concept unlike anything she has created before!

With the décor and menu being the most important aspects for the couple – they wanted all their guests to feel at home, sharing amazing gourmet food and being completely surrounded by beautiful vibrant décor. In a nutshell: to get glimpse into their love story and a real Wedding Concepts designer wedding!

Using a vibrant South American colour palette in colours of fuchsia pink, burnt orange, cream and shades of green – foliage and beautiful florals were suspended over each table. 

The wedding magic truly came to life with vintage bulbs, crystal chandeliers and strings of fairy lights suspended amongst the vibrant floral installations.

Quirky details, stunning stationery, a delicious ganache wedding cake and a gorgeously lit marquee – were just some of the bespoke design elements “à la Kate”.

After an evening of fantastic, heartfelt speeches and an amazing 3 course dinner that the reflecting the couple’s favourite foods from their travels together – the guests finally hit the dance floor – dancing until early hours of the morning to the sounds of DJ Rene and his Dream Team!

Ending off the sensational celebration were the American inspired midnight snacks – just the perfect ending to a stylish wedding fiesta straight from the heart of our Wedding Concepts team!
