Nicky and Mark exchanged vows in February of this year in one of the most idyllic settings in the world – Franschhoek! This fun and hilarious couple wanted a venue and a celebration that would suitably reflect not only their fun and spirited nature but also where Mark’s passion for cooking would meet Nicky’s love for gardening. The venue was found and the date for what was to be a memorable celebration shared by family and friends from South Africa and the United Kingdom. The overall décor on the day suitably catered for the couple’s original brief of combining equally vintage, shabby-chic and farmyard elements with a touch of romance for good measure! All the floral décor chosen on the day was mixed with various arrangements of fragrant herbs like rosemary, lavender, lemon thyme, sage and mint. An early dinner allowed guests to sip slowly on their chilled glasses of wine whilst fairly lights wrapped around oak trees lifted the ambience as the sun began to set.
