“Modern colour-blocked floral elements introduced tall arrangements which added scale and depth to the area around the dance floor, and a mass of clustered green and white Chinese lanterns in varying sizes and heights created a dazzling focal feature above the dance floor – tying the look together beautifully.”
For Anel and Riaan, we created a striking, uncluttered and elegant wedding using two contrasting colours to fashion the trendy colour blocking chic. As a team we had a lot of fun coming up with the imaginative concept and then bringing it to life with all the stylish details. With a large and spacious venue to work with at Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, it was imperative to adequately fill the space without making it look cluttered. To do this we set out to create dramatic features with ingenious floral and lighting concepts.
The fresh apple green alternated perfectly with its white counterpart and was accentuated by deep purple accents brought through cleverly in the stationery details by Lara’s Designs. The modern colour-blocked floral elements, created by Lush, introduced tall arrangements which added scale and depth to the area around the dance floor, and a mass of clustered green and white Chinese lanterns in varying sizes and heights created a dazzling focal feature above the dance floor – tying the look together beautifully.
Further complimenting lighting installations, supplied by Something-Different, of Perspex drop chandeliers added a touch of the contemporary to the reception space. Personalised vinyl applications framed the four corners of the high gloss white dance floor and modern lounge elements created a cosy corner for guests to relax in. From our colour brief, Kanya Hunt created a wedding cake that was a fantastic feature and quite a talking point amongst guests.
DJ Preston supplied a brilliant mix of local & international hits that kept guests boogying all night long; and with personalized gifting of imported paper parasols supplied by Wedding Concepts for the ladies, and a slick white bar supplied by Urban Tonic, stocked with high-end brandy for the boys, this was another original and hand crafted designer celebration from the team at Wedding Concepts.
Take Our Word: Be daring and bold with a duo of bright colours to create an innovative and vibrant look. Compliment the chic with a rich third colour to round off the chic beautifully.
We would like to thank Travel Concepts, World Leisure & Air Mauritius who sponsored the fantastic honeymoon to Mauritius.
