The collaboration of two designer brands will ultimately result in pure magic every time! This can be said for our wonderful partnership with renowned South African fashion designers, Klûk & CGDT. Malcolm Klûk and Christiaan Gabriel Du Toit are the energetic creative force behind Klûk & CGDT. Their boutique is located on the trendy and bustling Bree Street in the heart of Cape Town. Their space is a welcomed oasis from the urban rush where their clientele may browse through rails of beautiful clothes and bridal couture, all whilst indulging in a glass of champagne.

Malcolm and Christiaan describe the clientele who frequent their boutique as women with confidence, who dress according to their mood and who want to reflect pride in themselves. They will don clashing colours and bold prints with heels (always) just because they love them. They will come with a fresh open mind and will not slavishly follow trends and what’s in fashion – they will push boundaries with creativity and colour.

It seemed only natural that for a recent high-profile wedding, Malcolm and Christiaan would design an outfit to ensure our team looked as sophisticated as the setting we had expertly created. They artistically designed elegant little black dresses for our entire team, complimented by a stylish sash, which not only nipped in the waist for a classic feminine silhouette, but highlighted the vivid chartreuse colour scheme of the celebration. To capture the design and fitting process in action, we called on model-turned-lifestyle-photographer, Kristi Agier. With a skilled behind the scenes eye for the fashion world and now for photography, it made sense to add her talents to the creative mix.

Our mutual designer relationship only blossomed from there with exclusive second collaboration. The concept was a Grand Luncheon for 40 invited guests to watch a behind the scenes shoot of their latest collection. The soon to be seen latest collection is dark and moody with a fashion edge consisting of baroque inspired elements to add drama and a brilliant colour palette for the up and come season. For the luncheon, the décor was a stylishly grand display of black and gold elements. Whilst the flowers were modern arrangements of orchids and white tulips, the gold fruit and silver table features hinted at the underlying baroque theme.

With two stylish undertakings between two like-minded designer brands, we’re looking forward to many more creative collaberations with Klûk & CGDT in the not too distant future.
