“A mini moon can be every bit as glamorous and indulgent as a longer honeymoon – so long as you get the location right. With only a short time away from home, you clearly don’t want to spend too long travelling. It’s all about finding a gorgeous place to stay and settling down quickly for a few days of fun and relaxation.”
Mini moons are fast becoming as popular as honeymoons. A new buzz word in the travel world, a mini moon is one of 3 holidays. It can be the first visit to your destination wedding location before the wedding, taking some time out to experience and explore what you hope your guests from around the world will get to savour and indulge in. Second, it can be the shortened version of a honeymoon after the wedding if you don’t have too much time for a long, blissful holiday away. And lastly, it can be after a couple of years of marriage when you take some time out with your significant other and head to a romantic location to relive your honeymoon all over again.

Recently, Richard and Christina Holt, passionate travellers and owners of The Concepts Collection returned to our office like a couple of first time honeymooners: relaxed, refreshed, with a twinkle in their eyes and full of praise for the exclusive and rather grand Le Prince Maurice Hotel.
Located in a small bay on the Eastern side of the island with just 80 secluded suites and villas, the recently renovated hotel’s web site promised an indulgent tropical hideaway, where stunning architectural design meets relaxed luxury and Christina agrees that it was just that and much, much more.
She says, “We loved the intimate, grown-up and wonderfully stylish environment. From the very beginning, till the day we reluctantly departed, the hotel really lived up to its six star reputation. It had all the things we loved: the atmosphere was peaceful, the staff and the service were fabulous, and the food was one of the real highlights! Proper, sophisticated fine dining. Lounging on the beautiful quiet beach with occasional dips in the pool was just what we needed, but with a gym and a spa to keep me busy and water sports, two golf courses and an overflowing wine cellar for Richard, we couldn’t have chosen a better location.”
They both agreed Le Prince Maurice hosted what felt like a second honeymoon and from the moment they arrived they were seduced by its elegance and exclusivity.
